Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Accelerates COVID-19 Vaccination for Elderly

COVID-19 vaccination program for elderly in Kebon Jeruk Sub-district is accelerated. Previously, 200 people had been invited in this vaccination program, but then it increased into 1,000 people who received invitation for vaccination per day.

Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Head, Saumun mentioned, his side accelerated vaccination for elderly thus all elderly people in the region be vaccinated in this month as targeted.

"Although there is increase in number of participants and vaccination locations, but we ensure to apply strict health protocols," he said, Friday (3/19).

COVID-19 vaccination in Kebon Jeruk is carried out at Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) for static location and Wisma Siti Mariam at RT 04/07 Kedoya Utara and SDN 11 Pagi Duri Kepa for dynamic vaccination locations.

"Starting today, we invite 1,000 elderly people to carry out vaccination in each locations, both static and dynamic locations. It is our effort to speed up COVID-19 vaccination for elderly," he asserted.

Based on records from Kebon Jeruk Population and Civil Registry (Dukcapil) Unit, there are 32,129 elderly people in the region. Currently, his side is still verifying and matching the data with the one in urban village level.

"We also prepare operational vehicles in sub-district and urban village offices to pick up and transport the elderly to the vaccination location. We tell them not to worry about this vaccination because it is safe," he explained.
